The Ecobra Top-Quality Cutting Mat in Lilac/Gray is a durable cutting surface designed for regular cutting tasks. Its heavy-duty, 5-layer construction combines a hard core with more elastic outer layers. The core stabilizes the mat and reliably protects the underlying work surface from the blade. The softer outer layers give slightly when cutting, thereby preserving the blade’s sharpness.
The surface is self-healing: after a cut, the cut line closes up again and becomes largely invisible. As a result, any existing cut marks have less of an impact on subsequent work, and you won’t accidentally cut into a mark left by a previous cut. When cutting on the cutting mat, grids, measurements, and the printed alignment guides help you position your work accurately.
You can use the cutting mat on both sides—not only for cutting, but also as a writing surface or mouse pad. To ensure the mat remains flat over time, you should store it lying flat. The mat should not be exposed to direct sunlight or heat sources, as heat can cause irreversible warping.
