Attributes: Lascaux gouache paint is an acrylic-modified tempera paint for use in art and design as well as for painting therapy, art education and teaching in grammar schools. This highly concentrated and high yield paint is distinguished by supple spreadability, high degree of coverage (colour saturation), depth of colour and brightness. After drying the paints do not lose lustre.
Processing: Lascaux gouache displays good adherence on all absorbent substrated like paper, cardboard and canvas. The viscous paint can be used pure and colour saturating or thinned for glazing techniques. Because of it high pigment concentration the colours do not lose their intensity even after being thinned with water (in ratios of 1:1 and more). Although the dried paint remains soluble for an extended time, the acrylic-modified binding agent still allows a dried application to be painted over without the new application solvating it. We recommend you use gesso for your primer - e.g. MODULOR GESSO. Finished paintings can be sprayed with LASCAUX VARNISH UV PROTECT as protection against exposure to light or moisture.
