Our X-Table, winner of the Red Dot Award “Best of the Best,” is now also available in a height-adjustable version for children and teens in six different colors. The X table frame for children is height-adjustable in five levels, ranging from 515 mm (without tabletop) for children around 6 years old to 715 mm (without tabletop) for teenagers or adults. A tabletop can either be placed on non-slip rubber pads or securely screwed to the frame. The necessary tabletop connectors and screws are included in the package. As a matching tabletop for the Table Frame X for children, we offer a melamine tabletop with beech edge banding measuring 22 x 680 x 1200 mm. Of course, you can also combine a custom-made linoleum tabletop in your desired color and dimensions (within the minimum and maximum dimensions specified above) with the frame.
The table is secured at various heights using spring-loaded snap buttons in holes in the tubes—similar to those found in other telescoping tubes, such as those on some vacuum cleaners. You press the button from the outside “into the tube,” so to speak, and at the same time slide the nested tubes against each other (out or in), and when you reach the next hole, the spring-loaded button snaps back out. On the Children’s Table Frame X, this mechanism also prevents the height adjusters from falling out of the side panels. The height adjusters are located at the bottom of the tubes. This has the advantage that the crossbar (“X”) doesn’t get in the way of the growing user when they stretch out their legs, because as the table is raised, legroom also increases. Just like its larger counterpart, the crossbar on the children’s table can be mounted either centered or offset, so that smaller children can also sit across from each other at the table.
