- Description
This is a versatile system in two respects: first, because the table frame rails and legs are “only” screwed into place, which means that the tables can be assembled and disassembled very quickly in your store, at a trade show or in your atelier - with the further advantage that space-saving storage is possible. Secondly, and more importantly, the various frame rail lengths make possible the construction of tables with a variety of sizes – especially small or large ones, square and rectangular ones or eye-catching tables with unusual length and width ratios.
Which frame rails fit which table top?
The indicated length l does not refer to the length of the frame. It refers to the length of the table top suitable for these frame rails. Frames for l = 400 mm are suitable for table tops of 400 mm width (or length). The actual length of the frame rails is 70 mm shorter.
The length l consists of the length of the frame rails + two table legs at each corner + another 10 mm. These remaining 10 mm ensure that the tabletop overlaps the frame rails by 5 mm on the corresponding sides of the table.
An example: The frame rails for l = 400 mm are suitable for table tops with a width (or length) of 400 mm. The actual length of the frame rails is 330 mm. The difference of 70 mm is needed for the width of the table legs and the tabletop overlapping the frame rails by 5 mm on the corresponding sides of the table.
Material
The components are made of steel and have a hardwearing, powder coated, matte-rough metallic surface. The table legs have a height of 730 mm or 430 mm so that when a tabletop with a width of 20 mm is attached, the total height will be the standard 750 mm or 450 mm.
Please note that a really low table can also serve as a bench. In this way, very functional combinations of bench and table can be put together – it should also be noted, however, they are only suitable for indoor use!
The frames, because of their subtle and unembellished appearance, can be combined with many different kinds of tabletops or materials. Really every type of panel, from black MDF to a ready-made tabletop with beech edging to birch plywood panels (coated or non-coated) can be selected. One can also screw on considerably thinner types of panels (e.g. 15 or 18 mm) they can be attached to the frame with the Dual-Lock Press Seal band because they will thereby be evenly grounded on all four frame rails along a wide area. This construction lends a great deal of stability and reduces any tendency of the tabletop to sag in the middle. When selecting a tabletop size, you must decide if it is to overlap the frame rails or be flush with them – this table frame provides you with both options!
The very special twist lock washers that are provided are to be used when screwing the corner connectors in place. The washers prevent the screws from loosening and in doing so contribute considerably to the stability of your table.
Every frame rail has two or three vertically drilled holes (diameter 6 mm) where your panel or tabletop ( at least 18 mm ) can be screwed on – 12 screws for that job are included.

Please note that the given length measurements for the table frame rails correspond to the approximate outer measurement of the tabletop (which includes the legs to which they attach) and the measurement in the parentheses designates the actual length of the table frame rail.
