This spiral zipper with a 5 mm spiral is separable, which means it can be opened up completely which in turn means it can be well used as the zipper for a jacket. The flexibility of the spiral makes it especially suitable for use where a tooth zipper would be too coarse and where the zipper must pass over curves – as is often the case with Zip-off pants, removable inner jacket linings and motorcycle clothing and accessories.
