- Description
Do you write and draw with 0.2 mm fine leads, but the fine leads break at the slightest application of pressure? Not with the Mechanical Pencil Oranz from Pentel: The lead is protected by a tube that, using an innovative mechanism, automatically slides back into the body during use as the lead is worn down.
The lead lines up perfectly with the end of the tube at all times and therefore is very difficult to break. This will most likely be unusual for you at first because not only the lead but also the (rounded down) end of the tube will glide over the paper. Don’t worry: It won’t scratch the surface. If the tube almost disappears into the head of the pen, all you have to do is press on the end of the pen once, and the tube will come out again along with the lead.
In addition to the protection from breaks, this mechanism offers another advantage: With the soft B lead (also available in the strengths 0.3 to 0.7 mm), you can achieve saturated black lettering because you can apply more pressure.
